I would love to have seen Elvis when he first started out and also the Beatles in the Cavern Club.
I have seen Sinatra at the Royal Albert Hall and that to me was just a lifetimes experience just so fantastic .
i never saw the king, live, in concert.
if i could've i would have wanted to see elvis.
i rarely listen to him but it would been great to see him in his prime.. and i would've loved it if i could have seen the 60's versions of the temptations!.

one of my friends (non baptized) overheard his father, an elder and cobe talking with two other elders re; "generation" and he openly stated that "the society has stirred a great deal of discontent with this' and that is has "people talking".. apparently on the last co visit the co said the society at one point was inundated with questions regarding it and especially the word 'evidently' and what scriptural "evidence" there was and that the elders were told to "speak kindly" when discussing it and ask them to rely on jehovah to reveal the matter and evidence.. he spoke with this father re the "reaching out" articles and it has been noted by the society that many young men are refusing to take the 'lead' as they are not seeing "joy' in "reaching out" and that the society needs more elders drastically.. i am wondering how long it will be before the society attempts to mark brothers for refusing to accept responsibility or making it an "offence' to not reach out in order to force people to do things in the congregation and when if ever they will change the generation thing.
The Watchtower collective must be the only people on the planet who use the word generation in the exact opposite way to it's true meaning . There isn't a day goes by when I read or hear in the media the true rendition of the word generation and it bears no resemblance to the Watchtower interpretation.
Surely the mass membership of the Jehovahs Witness confidence trick cult should have spotted the deliberate mistake by now. When is somebody in the Org. going to stand up and say enough is enough we are not that gullible to believe in such a stupid explanation.
The Governing Body must be thinking if their followers swallow the Generation thing they can get away with telling them any old cock and bull story.
british dubs are invited to attend a special convention next summer in dublin , irish republic.
o k, this kind of trip has been done many times before.
however i have never seen such a crude and rigid set of rules that would apply to their own people going on a trip, at their own expense of course.
Well Jesus would find plenty of people at the convention who need converting to Christianity however
he would find stony ground material because of their dedication to an organisation with leaders who have set themselves up directly in conflict with his teachings.

It's a publishing corporation delegates are business representatives no more no less.
Can't imagine Jesus and his apostles being allowed in especially if Jesus arrived on a donkey smelling of....... well donkeys and James and John smelling of fish.
It doesn't look as if Jesus would find any sick or crippled people there to cure either.
skimmed it quickly, fairly boring.
no bloody jesus on the stake for the cover, looks like a jw with a beard.. available here for download http://www.jw.org/.
So why do the rank and file idolise the Governing Body?
Idolatry has no place with God's true people did they keep a straight face when they put that in the Wacktower.

I see that mad shepherd and his wooly locust puts in an apearance.
ask a witness which generation do you belong to and see if they really know how to answer.. i have decided that every time i hear a true definition of the meaning of a generation i will post it here just to reinforce the true meaning just in case a stray jw happens to look in on here.. yesterday evening i was watching an antiques programme on the television and under discussion was a very well made baby high chair from about the nineteen thirties and the approximate date of manufacture and the length of time it had been in the family.
the expert then went on to confim how old it was and in doing so said that considering who first purchased the chair and the length of a generation that it was from the thirties and went on to say that we consider a generation to be about 25 years.. that is a truer definition of a generation than a watchtower definition.. .
.
Can you imagine the Governing Body sitting down at a breakfast conference deciding how to explain away the Generation shall not pass away doctrine. When they decided to run with the overlapping explanation they must have thought if the rank and file swallow this they will fall for anything we tell them so let's go for it. It's just the same as when Judge Rutherford bought the mansion placing it in the names of dead princes' yep he thought they'll never see through it.

Thanks everybody, how is it we can see what the term generation truly means but the JWs just don't get it?
Getting back to the baby chair; When the chair had been in existance for 23 years and kept in the same family (let's call them Mr and Mrs Overlap) and handed down is it not logical and obvious that only a new baby generation could sit in it because the original generation for whom it was first made had got too big for it and were creating the next generation. Who but a new generation could sit in it after 23 years ?
The overlapping theory is just plain stupid!

today is my 65th birthday.. chances are you have no idea what that means.. would you like to know?
turning 65 can only be described using these two words:.
the first: anagnorisis the moment of critical discovery; the discovery of one's own identity or true character.
Congratulations Terry, long may you continue to give us your valuable words of wisdom and have a great birthday.
65 and still no New World well what do you know!
